The other method of extending the tyre life, along with regrooving, is retreading. Retreading involves removing the old, worn tread and replacing it with a new one, while following all safety standards. We recommend retreading in cases where regrooving is impossible, but the carcass is still in good condition.

Some of the tyres we offer can be retreaded a few times, which reduces both the running cost of your fleet and the impact on the environment. Every retreaded tyre is one less tyre in a landfill!

IS RETREADING WORTH IT?

40% – a retreaded tyre is this much cheaper than a new one

2 – a vehicle with the same tyres retreaded one time can reach a mileage this many times longer (with each subsequent retreading adding to the multiplier)

45 lbs – a single tread takes only this volume of resources to manufacture (compared to about 150 lbs needed to manufacture a whole tyre)

5 t – the amount of resources saved by retreading 100 tyres (110 lbs per tyre)

6 t – the amount of carbon entering the atmosphere decreases by this much by retreading 100 tyres (130 lbs per tyre)
